Unlike other caterers, we also offer our private dining room. We have hosted many rehearsal dinner s, weddings and dinner parties in this room as well as a back- up location for rained out clambakes.

A Real Nantucket Wedding - Lauren & Chris

Lauren was at a bachelorette party in Las Vegas for her sister-in-law, Kathryn in June of 2005. Kathryn and Chris' sister, Jenna, grew up together, so Jenna was at the party as well. During the bachelorette festivities, Kathryn and Jenna kept mentioning how they should set Chris and Lauren up because they thought they would get along and had similar interests. When Lauren essentially described Chris after being asked what she looked for in a guy, Jenna and Kathryn knew they had to meet. When Kenna got back from Las Vegas she encouraged Chris to call Lauren and he dutifully followed his older sister's lead. On their first date out to dinner on Boylston Street in Boston, Lauren was cold so Chris gave her his fleece jacket to wear. By accident (according to Chris), he left his house keys in the jacket pocket. So, since Lauren had his keys, they had to meet up for a second date a few days later, and have been together ever since. After dating for three years, Chris proposed at dinner in the aprropriately named restaurant, "The Perfect Wife", in Vermont on December 30, 2008. Chris' timing was perfect because they wanted to get married on Nantucket and so had plenty of time to plan the June 2010 wedding.

On a 75 degree, "not a cloud in the sky", gorgeous day, the Galley Beach was a perfect setting for Lauren and Chris' Nantucket wedding. The bridesmaids wore blue J Crew dresses while the groomsmen sported khaki pants, navy blazers and pink Vineyard Vines ties. Reverend Ted Anderson performed the ceremony on the beach for the elegant couple, with the bride dressed by Cymbeline.

The color scheme was perfectly complemented by the floral artistry of Soiree Floral, and the creative expressions of Marty Kelly Paper. The wedding cake, yellow cake with raspberry filling adorned with starfish, by A Piece of Cake, matched the decor of the reception as well. Guests were entertained by Beantown, a Boston band, and Lauren and Chris were feted at the end of this festive day with a sparkling farewell from family and friends. Nicole Whelden, the wedding planner from Unique Nantucket, coordinated the event, with Claudia Kronenberg capturing the essence of a special Nantucket wedding through her photography.

Spring on Nantucket!

Spring is finally here - or at least the hope of Spring, with daffodils starting to bloom all over Nantucket. Our Nantucket wedding vendors are blooming as well, with Nantucket weddings being published in several wedding magazines, such as Well Wed, Spring/Summer 2010.

Jennifer and Erik took a cue from the island location in choosing a mint and teal color scheme, which showed to great advantage in their wedding pictures showcased in The Knot, Boston Spring/Summer 2010 issue. With more than ten Nantucket wedding vendors as part of "their ingredients", it was truly a classic Nantucket wedding.

Our weddings are also being blogged about...Boston Hearts Weddings raved about Leila and Steve's wedding, saying "...some of our favorite vendors helped to make it all happen."
